What Is Short-Term Accommodation Under the NDIS?

Short-Term Accommodation (STA), previously known as respite care, is a type of NDIS-funded support that allows participants to stay in a supported home environment for a short period of time. It’s designed to provide care and personal development opportunities for the participant, while also giving family members or carers a well-deserved break.

NDIS STA includes accommodation, personal care, meals, and access to a variety of enriching activities—all delivered by our trained, compassionate support team.

Short-Term Accommodation is typically funded under your Core Supports in your NDIS plan. It may cover up to 28 days per year and includes:
